Description

PURPOSE:

To provide Individual and Family Therapy, case management, therapy and service linkage to seriously emotionally disturbed children. To empower parents and foster resiliency through support, education and advocacy. 

To improve the operations of KMHS in support of its stated mission. To provide the highest level of service to internal and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Provide effective and efficient clinical services, using best practice standards including Trauma Informed Care, to eligible children and families within a managed care environment.
  2. Complete and maintain all required appropriate clinical and administrative records in a timely manner.
  3. Provide outreach services, as clinically indicated, to clients and their parents/guardians.
  4. Collaborate with schools, social service agencies and other providers to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  5. Conduct groups for target populations within identified service populations.
  6. Participate in the implementation of administrative and clinical policies of KMHS as appropriate.
  7. Function as a supportive member of the program team and participate constructively in problem solving.
  8. Provide consultation, education and training for KMHS staff and other agencies or individuals regarding clinical issues.
  9. Provide crisis intervention services when necessary.
  10. Actively participate in supervision and training.
  11. In addition to the above, any other responsibilities appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in the job description.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Care Team Clinical Supervisor

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in counseling/psychology or related field required. Experience in individual and group therapy, infant or early childhood mental health services, and/or adolescent co-occurring disorders treatment preferred. Possess and maintain valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report and reliable, insured transportation.

PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, and talk or listen.

PAY GRADE: 120

JOB CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
