EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral degree in physical therapy as evidenced by current state licensure
EXPERIENCE: One year physical therapy experience, medical office experience preferred.
CERTIFICATE / LICENSE: Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state employed.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, policies, procedures and other regulatory policies
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment
- Maintains excellent working relationship with the medical professional and other health related facilities and organizations.
- Promotes Company philosophy, mission and objectives within and to customers outside the organization.
- Ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within allotted time. Willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
- Understands and demonstrates the importance of and respect for the rights, dignity, and individuality of each patient in all interactions.
- Demonstrates respect for co-workers and responds to needs of patients by complying with clinical policies.
Qualifications:
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to identify and implement components of the physical therapy process
- Identify learning needs and teach patients and families
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of teams and individuals
- Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions
