Summary:

The Educated Workforce Partnerships Intern will gain experience working with a high-performing team and exposure to large and small businesses, workforce and education providers and agencies from the region and state. They will also gain a breadth of knowledge in the education and workforce sectors, emphasizing projects directed at connecting Atlanta's Opportunity Youth to jobs and resources and expanding work-based learning opportunities. MAC interns have experienced a high degree of job placement success upon completing their internship. 

 

Work Program:

  • Assist in database management for educational partnership initiatives
  • Prepare newsletter for Opportunity ATL and Educated Workforce
  • Make updates to workforce initiative websites
  • With direction, create social media content and schedule posts on various platforms
  • Create copy for newsletters and website
  • Field email inquiries and direct appropriately
  • Attend community meetings, report results, participate as needed in virtual community and partner events
  • Assist with scheduling and filling in for meetings/webinars

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Senior or recently completed bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills
  • Strong analytic skills

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, internet search, etc.
  • Proficiency with Meta, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn
  • Experience using MailChimp and Square Space platforms
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Self-motivated to produce strong results working individually and as part of a team
