The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for the leadership, management, and execution of Avivo’s annual giving program and three annual special events. The Manager plays a vital role in growing the donor base of individuals who give less than $1,000 annually and supporting growth in the number of active of major donors. In collaboration with the Vice President of External Relations, responsibilities include meeting or exceeding annual fund and event-related fundraising goals; acknowledging, stewarding, and growing annual fund contributions; developing and successfully implementing organization fundraising events, representing the organization to donors, vendors, and the public; ensuring quality management of the donor database; and managing fundraising volunteers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and implement Annual Fund and recognition programs (direct mail and online giving, in person event giving, and employee workplace giving).
• Work with the VP of External Relations and consultants, establishes long-term goals and objectives and implements strategies to increase the number of donors and grow revenue of the annual giving program.
• Under direction of the Vice President and in consultation with the Director of Communications, strategize and implement online fundraising campaigns, direct
• marketing collateral and print communications including messaging, design, production, mail and/or email list development, and execution.
• Develop and ensure proper strategic donor recognition and stewardship opportunities
• Supervise Database Administrator / Development Associate to ensure database accuracy and alignment between annual fund program goals and overall development goals.
• Develop talking points for donor communications for use by communications staff.
• Write copy of individual gift acknowledgment letters.
• Under direction of the Vice President, manages events consultant to plan and successfully implement three fundraising events that meet or exceed goals, including (but not limited to) supporting event volunteers committees, updating sponsorship materials, helping Corporate Relations and Foundation Grants Officer to secure sponsorships, supervising silent auction development and execution, developing event programming and entertainment as appropriate, preparing event collateral and promotions utilizing Avivo’s Communications Team, identifying and managing venue and event contractors, managing event budget and reporting.
• Manage the donor loyalty and sustaining donor (sustainer) programs creating and implementing opportunities for annual participation.
• Interface with Finance team to ensure adherence to gift acceptance, counting and processing policies and procedures, and to fulfill information requests and maintain reporting accuracy; prepare weekly and monthly KPI reports to VP of External Relations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communication or other social science field or equivalent experience. (3-5 annual giving experience)

· A minimum of two years planning, executing, assessing, and reporting for successful annual fund programs or campaigns as well as special events of 100+ attendees.

· Minimum of 1 year of experience supervising or providing work direction/guidance to other staff.

WAGES: $51,252-$64,065
