Bennett Thrasher (“BT”) has an opening for a Content & Communications Manager position for the firm. 


Primary responsibilities:

  • Serves as the point of contact for strategy and execution of key internal and external communication for the firm.
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Human Resources team to fully assess firm, line of service/business unit, and operations needs for all internal communications.
  • Develops communication strategies and executes effectively on activities that result in timely, consistent messaging to drive awareness, engagement, and action.
  • Owns client/target proposal drafting and coordinates with engagement leaders on final drafts to ensure consistent and high-quality communication of firm messaging.
  • Ensures internal communications are on-brand and consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization.
  • Plans, edits, and writes compelling, storytelling content delivered through various mediums (written, digital/video, etc.) for internal and external use.
  • Establishes a thoughtful and streamlined approach for all regular internal comms including, but not limited to the management of SharePoint, all newsletters/weekly comms, town hall/firmwide messaging, surveys, and policies, etc.
  • Schedules and develops filming scripts and production for video.
  • Drafts all job descriptions to ensure consistency and clear value proposition of the firm.
  • Collaborates with campus and experienced recruiting to create messaging and marketing material that attracts top talent.
  • Ensures organizational initiatives are clearly communicated to all associates or stakeholders.
  • Drafts external communications as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience with strategic communications, including outreach and engagement, leadership messaging, qualitative and quantitative evaluation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Communications, or related field
  • Five to seven years of related experience writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred
  • Public Accounting or law firm experience a plus
