    Your typical day tasks include:

  • Must be able to read and take vital signs
  • Bathe patients and attend to the their basic hygiene needs
  • Assist the patients with meals and snacks rest or nap periods
  • Hold, rock, and comfort patients as needed
  • Hold and bottle feed infants as ordered by PPOT
  • Assist patients as needed
  • Read to patients, and teach them simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs
  • Help patients move to other areas of the facility, secure in equipment, such as chairs, prone standers, AFO's, etc.
  • Observe and monitor patients' play activities
  • Clean room, linens, equipment, or other materials as needed and required
  • Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas. Disinfect toys and equipment according to Infection Control Policy
  • Support patients’ emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts
  • Identify any signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring them to the attention of the nurse or administrator in charge

Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation and punctuality
  • Must be able to stand, lift, or assist in lifting an individual in an emergency
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and generally demonstrate flexibility
  • Must have strength and manual dexterity, including grasping and manipulating small objects
  • Must be able to respond to emergency situations
  • A minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience is preferred
  • CNA License
