Deposit Collector

SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for collections within the Bounce Protection Program and other DDA, Payroll, Prepaid and Savings accounts.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to collect overdrawn accounts, payroll and prepaid cards in a timely manner by using good judgement. Ability to research all aspects in locating account holders.
  
• Analyzes various daily reports.
• Ability to determine when to offer the Fresh Start program and then executes agreements. Gathers documentation for charge off accounts and reports customers to Credit Bureaus and Chex systems. Represents the bank in small claims court when required.

• Excellent customer service skills
• Data entry accuracy required
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet strict deadlines
• Ability to use office equipment such as telephone, copier, fax machine, various computer software programs and computer terminals
• Ability to be friendly and professional in customer contact interaction. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
• This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an associate degree in a business-related field and 1-2 years experience as a teller or similar retail banking environment or work-related experience of 5 years.
