Summary of Position

This position effectively leads Summit Online weekly outreach and discipleship efforts. Provides vision and leadership for our online service presence, including volunteer teams, stats and analysis of trends, and connecting with viewers in a meaningful way.   This is a temporary position for one year with the possibility of the term being extended. 

Qualifications and Requirements

• A commitment to servant leadership (Mk. 10:45; Col. 3:23-24).

• Personal integrity and evidence of ongoing spiritual growth, as required of all church employees (church attendance, small group membership, tithing, etc.)

• Experience in programming for weekend gatherings and special events

• Coordination and collaboration with “creatives” preferred

• High level of creativity and innovative thinking

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong project management skills

• College degree

• 3-5 years of professional experience preferred

• A member of the Summit Church or willing & able to become a member

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of the weekly Summit Online service

  • Primary onsite weekend leadership of all aspects of Summit Online execution

  • Coordinate with Broadcast Director and Programming Director on service flow and execution of various elements within the service, maintaining an "outsider's posture" in planning and execution, as Summit Online is the front door to the Summit for much of the audience

  • Plan and execute online specific segments to reach online audience, live and pre-recorded

  • Regular leadership in front of and behind camera

• Responsible for connecting with people watching during and after service

  • Leadership, recruitment, and training of volunteer host teams

  • Own the use of Church Online Platform to create hosting communities, interactions, calls to action and community support, engaging with first-time guests and encouraging them to take a step of identification

  • Responsible for Summit Online discipleship strategy

    • Follow up with all first-time guests in the week following the service, connecting them to a local campus team and/or next steps

    • Regular communication, connection and encouragement of the online community, driving connection to a physical campus

• Responsible for planning and executing Summit Online strategy

  • Primary driver of YouTube engagement and backend support

  • Advocate with Broadcast Director for Summit Online and ways to improve reach, engagement and quality, including but not limited to:

    • Assist with defining measurable strategies to meet benchmark goals

    • Analytics from YouTube and Church Online Platform, reported and presented monthly, quarterly, yearly to identify trends and opportunities.

    • Proactive connections with the Communications and Social Teams to identify and explore opportunities for greater impact
