Upper School History Instructor

Bayside Academy seeks an innovative, experienced History instructor for the upper years (grades 9-12). This teacher must be versatile in what courses he or she can potentially teach. He or she must be adept in the instruction of writing and appreciate the role that document analysis and critical thinking have in a robust Social Studies curriculum. He or she should have proven experience within the AP teaching environment, be dynamic in their instructional approach, skilled in differentiation, and capable of collaborating with peers across disciplines. This teacher must be knowledgeable in inquiry and project-based pedagogy, and able to meet the needs of all learners. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are vital as relationships are the cornerstone to student success. Finally, this individual must be able to build strong, trusting relationships with all community stakeholders; students, colleagues, and parents.
