Position Overview:
Adjunct faculty members provide quality learning experience for students and support the educational philosophy, mission, and long-term goals of the University of Central Oklahoma, the College of Liberal Arts, and the hiring department. Adjunct faculty members teach classes, advise and mentor students, evaluate student performance, and maintain student records in accordance with university policies. Adjunct faculty members work in a collaborative manner with full- and part-time colleagues and adhere to all of the policies and procedures outlined in the UCO Faculty and Employee Handbooks. The expected salary range is commensurate with credentials and experience

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:
The Department of History and Geography seeks instructors to teach undergraduate history courses, especially HIST 1483 U.S. History to 1877 and HIST 1493 U.S. History since 1877.

The Department of History and Geography includes 16 full-time faculty members and offers undergraduate degree programs in history, geography, history education, and museum studies, as well as graduate programs in history and museum studies.
