Overnight Manager on Duty (MOD)

Summary/Objective
The Overnight Manager on Duty assists the Overnight Foreperson and Assistant Foreperson with training, scheduling, and overseeing the workflow of the Overnight Labor Crew. The Overnight Manager on Duty will also assist with the communication and coordination between the Overnight Crew and daytime Building Services Crew.

  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • 2+ years supervisory or managerial experience
     

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 5+ years supervisory or managerial experience

Schedule

Part time position with a schedule based on DECC event needs. This position will be primarily scheduled overnight on various days of the week and may include some holidays. Shifts may be scheduled during the second shift for training and communication purposes and will be 8 – 28 hours per week. The DECC cannot always schedule a definite ending time due to the nature of the events, but an estimated time may be provided.
 

Supervisory Responsibilities
Assist the Overnight Labor Crew with coordinating room sets, scheduling, training, and promoting a culture of safety.

 

Uniform
Business casual and functional. DECC Branded shirts will be provided. Black or khaki slacks are required.

 

                                                                                                                                                         

Work Environment
Climate can fluctuate from hot and cold. Noise level can also fluctuate from mild to very loud.

 

Physical Demands
This position will require someone that is able to stand on their feet for many hours at a time, moving quickly to various places based on needs. They will need to use their hands frequently and be able to see, hear, and speak often. This position will require bending and maneuvering, and the ability to move and lift to 20 pounds at times.

  • Successful completion of a drug test, if applicable
     

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements
The DECC uses USCIS Form I-9 to verify the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment. On the form, an employee must attest to his or her employment authorization. The employee is required to present the DECC with acceptable documents evidencing identity and employment authorization at the time of hire. The DECC will examine the employment eligibility and identity document(s).
The list of acceptable documents can be provided by Human Resources.

At-Will Employment
This position is at will. This means if you are offered the position and accept, your employment with the DECC is for an indefinite period of time and it is subject to termination by you or the DECC, with or without cause, with or without notice, and at any time.
