Recovery Network of Programs, Inc. (RNP), is a private, non-profit, social service agency which has been serving the Greater Bridgeport Community and Fairfield County area since 1972. RNP is dedicated to helping those living with substance use, mental health disorders, and homelessness. Our mission is to restore hope, health, and wellbeing for individuals and families in a recovery environment that embraces compassion, dignity and respect.
In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of the Director of Quality Improvement, the Quality Quality Improvement Specialist participates in the interpretation and implementation of risk management and quality improvement standards to ensure quality care to clients. The Quality Improvement Specialist will assist the Director of Quality Improvement in ensuring that all systems, policies, and processes lead to supporting excellent client care.
This position is 40 hours per week on site, in our Shelton, CT administrative team office.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Takes lead on the oversight, management and at times creation of the agencys policies and procedures.
- Takes lead on the Quality Improvement Plan for CARF and facilitating the completion of all responses indicating in the Quality Improvement Plan.
- To assist the Client Rights Officer for Recovery Network of Programs with all complaints and grievances. This includes assisting with taking initial calls and doing follow-ups on all complaints and grievances and helping to work with program management to help develop a resolution for the client.
- To take a lead in the QI Committee by building reports and data, providing follow-up, and providing active participation on the committee. This also includes managing the corrective action plan process.
- Track and analyze the collection of the agencys psychiatric services.
- Help manage and facilitate the mystery shopper calls for the agency.
- To take the lead on the tracking and facilitating of the agencys license renewals and quality improvement plan to DPH. This also includes applying for new licensure when applicable.
- Works collaboratively with the Director of Quality Improvement to address the effective and efficient performance of the duties and responsibilities assigned to the team, including taking responsibility for special assignments as needed.
- Performs initial and follow-up investigations for incident reports.
- Performs audits and data validation studies to ensure accuracy of collected data.
- Aggregates and analyzes data for written reports provided to RNPs Quality Improvement Committee and Risk & Safety Committee, and to various other internal and external agency groups as needed, including any associated visual media or hard copy materials as appropriate.
- As deemed necessary by the supervisor, assumes responsibility for all other appropriate duties.
