Description

Organizational Profile

The Global Orphan Project (GO Project) is the redemptive quest of a community of strategic Kingdom investors joining forces in a shared Mission: to break the orphan cycle through the power of community, commerce, and the love of Jesus.  The essential cell of civilization is the family.  The breakdown of family has created an orphan crisis and weakened local communities across the world.  Leveraging the greatest care distribution network on the planet, the local church, GO Project innovates, creates, and implements collective impact platforms to strengthen children and families in crisis, at scale, to advance our Mission.

GO Project is also a Christian non-profit organization, the backbone parent company to our flagship collective impact platforms: CarePortal, a care-sharing platform that drives action for local kids and families in crisis; Strong Family, a family strengthening training and technology platform that is scaling in the developing world; and GOEX, our fair-trade certified apparel and artisan platform that keeps families together through the dignity of work.  GO Project provides overall enterprise leadership and support to our signature platforms, a professional suite of business services, which include marketing, communications, finance, human resources (HR), facilities, compliance, information systems and technology (IS&T) - as well as an emerging development capability to support diverse revenue streams across the GO Project enterprise.

The Chief Development Officer (CDO) will serve as a key member of GO Project’s senior leadership team responsible for the strategy and execution of our revenue model, leveraging our exploding impact to generate diverse revenue streams to support next-level scale.  In 2024, we expect that GO Project’s topline revenue will be near $30m.  To meet our North Star for impact over the coming 3-5 years, we will need to scale to $50m plus, with the infrastructure, systems, and processes to keep scaling. We need to organize the entirety of our development efforts into a clearly structured and well supported Development Department, hence, this role.  GO Project leaders lead by example.  No one is perched in an ivory tower looking down on others doing the work. Every Team Lead at GO is a player/coach.
