The HR Generalist will focus on handling the day-to-day Human Resource functions including positive employee relations, recruiting and selection, onboarding, HR compliance, training and development and performance management.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with departments to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provide HR support and coaching to managers on HR policies and processes, people management, and career development.
  • Play a crucial role within recruiting by facilitating exceptional partnerships with hiring manager, scheduling interviews and hiring successful candidates.
  • Work with senior HR management, legal and benefits staff on ER issues, serving as point person for managers, providing advice on performance counselling and addressing employee complaints.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize new hire orientations and development initiatives.
  • Promote HR programs other peers, subject matter experts and business partners to resolve employee issues in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Engage managers in performance management issues, leadership succession and selection, organizational effectiveness, change management, diversity, career and leadership development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Who You Are & What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Human Resources or a business-related field
  • 2-5 years of HR experience
  • Must have demonstrable track record in various aspects of human resources (staffing, compensation, employee relations…)
  • Successful candidates will be highly collaborative, results focused, and have a passion for providing an exception customer experience
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally
  • Strong analysis, problem solving, decision making and influencing skills
  • Able to flourish in a fast-paced, multi-tasking and dynamic environment.
  • Able to build strong relationships across a wide spectrum of internal and external parties
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, work independently, and follow up on projects and issues
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies to include state and Federal labor laws.
