SOHO Bus Driver

Primary Duties

Safely transport 40 athletes from local schools to Soldier Hollow. This is a free service to our participants and allows kids who normally wouldn't be able to participate due to lack of transportation to participate in a lifelong sport. This role is only need for 8 weeks starting on January 8th, 2024. The driver will get paid 2 hours a day for driving the bus to one school each day. Monday and Wednesdays to the local charter school, Tuesday and Thursdays to Midway Elementary School.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Accountability

  • Sight seeing transportation of guests to the different venues in the Olympic Park.
  • Driving 2006 Girardin MB IV 24 passenger mini bus

Required Knowledge and Essential Skills

  • Be at least 21 years of age and have excellent customer service skills.
  • Have a valid Utah Drivers License - Commercial Drivers License.
  • Ability to drive 44 passenger bus.
  • Be a safe driver with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Able to pass drug test after you are offered employment.
  • Able to follow verbal instructions
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • Safe Sport Training (can be provided upon hiring)
  • Other job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be at least 21 years of age and have excellent customer service skills
  • Flexible work schedule must be available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Environmental Job Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in all temperature/weather extremes

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Hearing to converse with others in a normal conversation
  • Balancing, bending, climbing, kneeling, walking, pushing, reaching above shoulders, and sitting
