Position Summary:

MIRACORP is growing and we have a rewarding opportunity! We are seeking a Library Information Technology Systems Administrator to work at our federal customer site in Lakewood, CO.

The Library Information Technology Systems Administrator supports daily operational requirements of library and information computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Installation of hardware and software.
  • Perform standard systems upgrades.
  • Maintain network accounts and network security.
  • Perform web page design, interface, and updates.
  • Plan and implement for long-range automation.
  • Generate period reports.
  • Respond to requests for local system design documentation.
  • Train staff on software applicable to their position, assists patrons with information technology, and provides instruction on computers and applications.
  • Scan contract file documents and prepare for emailing to appropriate entities.
  • Maintain 1100 realty lease file inventory by managing and tracking file traffic and usage and updating multiple Excel spreadsheets.
  • Monitor and track file traffic.
  • Perform data entry.
  • Maintain data base library to support Environmental Group, update and insert or delete documents.
  • Supports the integration of new technology and methodologies for library/information services, applications, and systems.
  • Participates in the testing and evaluation of emerging technology for usability and effective discovery and delivery of library information services.
  • Responds to and resolves user access problems with thorough trouble shooting measures.
  • Provides support for existing and emergent metadata formats, records, compatibility and authority control between a variety of systems and user search interfaces.

Your Education & Experience:

  • Associates degree with coursework in library and/or information systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in information systems support and administration of an integrated library or information filing system.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and development of web pages.
  • Strong customer service mindset.
  • Knowledge and experience using systems and data bases.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
