QC Conveyors is searching for a Assembly Techresponsible for performing simple to complex processes, depending on the product being assembled. Typically requires fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components, units, and assemblies to very close tolerances to complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. At times may require working with parts or components which may be difficult to handle and other skills which require good dexterity. Hand and power tools are utilized to complete the assemblies. May utilize detailed blueprints, assembly sketches or other input documents of similar complexity.

 

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned.

  • Installation of components to specifications, using various hand and power tools and equipment
  • Interprets blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructions
  • Follows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted
  • Maintains quality and productivity standards
  • Maintains equipment, including daily cleaning to maintain good housekeeping and adheres to plant regulations and safety rules
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
  • Experience as an Assembler or General Laborer and have worked in a manufacturing/Assembly environment
  • Experience with hand and power tools required
  • Ability to read blueprints preferred
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to function seamlessly in a team environment and promote collaboration
  • Requires a high level of attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to perform work following established standard operating procedures and ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of shipping proprietary applications a plus (UPS, FEDEX)
  • Position requires sitting, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate a forklift a plus
  • Strong knowledge of calipers, gauges, micrometers and other QA practices
  • Must be highly attentive to detail and quality
  • Must be able to read product manufacture drawings, accurately measure product dimensions, and use basic power tools

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Stand, walk, or sit for up to an eight to ten hour shift; ascend and push, and pull up to 50 lbs., bend, twist and reach with arms, dexterity with hands and fingers to work on a computer keyboard.
