Digital and Motion Graphics Designer - Weekend and Online

Summary of Position

A high-capacity, graphic designer with a passion to serve The Summit Church. Effectively designs animated graphics, still graphics, and sermon slides for use within ProPresenter7. Provides vision for our weekend services, including screen graphics (announcements, sermon slides), online graphics (lower thirds and bugs), and central and church-wide events. 

Qualifications and Requirements

• A commitment to servant leadership (Mk. 10:45; Col. 3:23-24).

• Personal integrity and evidence of ongoing spiritual growth, as required of all church employees (church attendance, small group membership, tithing, etc.)

• Experience in programming for weekend gatherings and special events

• Coordination and collaboration with “creatives” preferred

• High level of creativity and innovative thinking

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong project management skills

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs (e.g. Photoshop, After Effects, etc)

• Experience with ProPresenter 7 a plus but not required

• College degree or in process of

• 2-3 years of professional experience preferred

• A member of the Summit Church or willing & able to become a member

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all graphic aspects of the weekend services

  • Coordinate proactively with Broadcast Director, Programming Director, and Creative Director on series branding and how to best present it for screens (both in house at all campuses and for Summit Online)

  • Creates the sermon slides weekly using the branding packages and assets provided by the Creative Team

  • Design and create online specific graphics for online audience including animated motion graphic bugs, lyric slides, and announcement slides

  • Design ProPresenter templates for sermon slides at all campuses based on branding packages created by the Creative Team

• Responsible for running slide content during weekend services

  • Including but not limited to: sermon slides; lyrics for Summit Online; activating graphic bugs for LIVE, giving, prayer, etc

  • Make slide edits for sermon content as they are requested during the weekend

• Responsible for creating slide graphic assets for Central and Church-Wide Events

  • Work with ministries and creative team on using branding assets for creating slide content for central, staff meetings, and church-wide events including but not limited to: speaker graphics, rotating slide content, center screen content, and lyrics.
