H&G Production Associate

The SE Production Associate is responsible for producing products to specification and supporting our job-training associates through the program. This person will excel in following directions, working as part of a team, manufacturing, and have a keen attention to detail. This position supports our Social Enterprise and Agency mission. This position reports directly to the SE Product Division Manager.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce product to specifications and according to production schedule
  • Support LA RISE Associates through their job training program
  • Successfully perform in all areas for the product making process based on manufacturing standards
  • Cross train in back of house areas to support packaging, inventory, and shipping.
  • Ensure production stays on schedule to support customer orders, retail accounts and pop-up shops
  • Staff pop-up shops throughout the community when needed
  • Follow and enforce safety guidelines in the production studio at all times
  • Follow and support adherence to production guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the agency

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and in donation storage area. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, must be able to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part time position. Days and hours of work are a flexible schedule with occasional weekend and evening shifts.



  • Travel to off-site events when necessary

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED


Required Knowledge/Skills/Position Qualifications

  • Experience in product manufacturing and inventory management.
  • Cultural humility.
  • Must be a CA resident and live at least 75 miles from the office and must be available for in-person meetings at the DWC offices.
  • Must provide documentation of a negative COVID-19 test result from the last seven days, on first day of hire.
  • Must provide documentation of a negative TB test result within the last twelve months, on first day of hire.
  • You will be required to have received at least the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination to start employment with DWC, and second dose must be received within 30 days from the first day of hire.
