ROLE SUMMARY

Elmbrook Church is a non-denominational, intergenerational, multi-site church excited about the life change possible in Christ. Its mission is to help people become Rooted in Jesus Christ and Released to His mission.

 

The Administrative Specialist reports to the Director of Research, Analytics, and Data Governance and works collaboratively as part of the Strategic Management Team to assist with communication, data governance, and other church-wide initiatives. This individual must collaborate well with ministry and event staff and operate with flexibility while managing multiple, simultaneous deadlines.

 

Excellent communication, attitude, computer skills, accuracy, time management, and continuous improvement are foundational to this role's success.

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Demonstrate a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Proactive, conscientious, efficient, detail-oriented, and dependable.
  • Work well with limited supervision self-motivated and directed.

  • Analytical, problem-solving, and administration capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Teams), Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, & YouTube).
  • Familiarity with design software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) and website content management systems (WordPress or similar) is a plus.

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assist departments in using and applying all modules of the church management system (Realm) to their respective ministry functions, and assist church members in their interactions with Realm.
  • Assist the Communication Director with general communication and promotion administration activities, including setting up email newsletters (Constant Contact), social media posts, and web/event page updates.
  • Track projects, maintain calendars, and help implement Strategic Management Team plans.
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate ministry/event web presence, registration, and promotion details.
  • Communicate room scheduling and set-up needs with the appropriate team members.
  • Support team and ministry events, which may require some availability outside of normal working hours and may include assisting with set-up and tear-down.

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION

 

Part-time, hourly, and classified as Non-exempt

24 hours per week

Salary dependent on experience, skills & education

A background check is required for this role.

Computer skills testing will also be required.

 

BENEFIT PACKAGE

 

Paid Time Off (PTO) Part-time employees who are scheduled to work more than 10 hours per week are eligible to earn PTO. PTO is accrued on a calendar year basis. Refer to the Staff Handbook for specific details.

 

403b Employees are eligible to participate in the 403b pension plan if they are scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week. Entry dates for the 403b plan is the first of the month following date of hire. On an employees first anniversary, Elmbrook will match up to 1%.

 

Holidays Part time employees who are scheduled to work more than 10 hours per week are eligible for holiday pay if the holiday falls on their normal scheduled workday. There are 10 holidays recognized by Elmbrook Church as paid holidays. Refer to the Staff Handbook for specific details.
