Description

The Recruiting Coordinator ensures an effective full-cycle recruitment process by supporting the Recruiter, hiring managers, and candidates throughout the recruiting life cycle. This position will directly impact candidate experience throughout the recruitment and hiring process.

 

General Responsibilities

  • Posts job advertisements at various job boards, associations, and universities.  Maintains and updates online presence for recruitment-related activity.
  • Reviews inbound applications and conducts pre-screening interviews with candidates.
  • Serves as main point of contact for applicants.  
  • Serve as point of contact for Hiring Managers and interviewers regarding candidate interview schedules.
  • Facilitates and participates in the panel interview process.
  • Gathers relevant data and updates metrics regarding staffing and recruiting
  • Supports sourcing strategies by researching trends and best practices as directed
  • Serves as an applicant tracking system (ATS) superuser. Supports hiring managers regarding the use of the ATS.
  • Conducts annual and ongoing updates of ATS job templates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and thorough documentation of candidate interactions and hiring decisions.
  • May coordinate temporary staffing activities, as needed.
  • Conducts pre-employment compliance screenings. Serves as primary point of contact for background and reference check vendors.
  • Facilitates start date coordination.  
  • Supports HR Coordinator in conducting HR New Employee Orientation as needed.
  • Partners with Information Technology department on new hire equipment and systems requirements
  • Performs research regarding best practices, competitor processes, alternative recruiting methods, etc.
  • Writes behavioral and values-based interview questions.
  • Conducts onboarding logistics and schedules new hire orientations.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Ability to learn and understand applicable local/state/federal regulations.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable state and federal laws specifically in relation to Recruiting, HRIS, and Safety as well as other general HR areas.
  • Advanced knowledge of personal computers with at least intermediate and preferably advanced skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, and other comparable software programs.
  • Multi-tasking, i.e., ability to function and complete work with competing priorities and expectations, good problem-solving skills.
  • Personal and interpersonal skills, i.e., clarity, diplomacy, consideration, sensitivity, confidentiality, and the ability to collaborate.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and good follow through.
  • Ability to work successfully as a team member and independently.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related preferred.
  • Relevant work experience can be considered and substituted for academic requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years of recruiting coordinator or HR Assistant experience preferred.
