Associate Director of Adult Discipleship

Summary of Position

The Associate Director of Adult Discipleship will work alongside the central disciple team to implement the strategies, the systems, and the processes to both resource campuses and equip the people of The Summit Church to be disciples who make disciples. 

Qualifications and Requirements

• Clear proven giftings in leadership, training, teaching, and discipleship

• Past experience supervising paid staff

• Knowledge of past and current methodologies in disciple making within groups

• Proven commitment to the local church as the sending agent for the mission of God

• Capable of leading large teams towards a common vision and accomplishment of stated goals

• A member or willing and able to become a member of The Summit Church

Responsibilities

• Work with Adult Discipleship Director to help lead and resource the equipping arm of Adult Discipleship and the groups arm of Adult Discipleship. 

• Staff development: Working with the Adult Discipleship Director, directly lead and develop either the groups or equipping arms of the ministry to accomplish the disciple making vision of The Summit Church.

  • The Groups Team consists of: Small Groups, Men’s Discipleship, Women’s Discipleship, & Young Adults

  • The Equipping Team consists of: prayer, generosity, and equipping ministry

  • Build cohesion among the team by investing in leaders personally, spiritually, and professionally.

  • Assist central ministry directors by providing counsel and direction in order to help them successfully implement the vision and ministry strategy of TSC. 

  • Assist in developing training opportunities (both ongoing and conferences) for those ministries across the church. 

• Create training systems, resources, and content focused on helping groups grow as disciples and becoming fully engaged in the mission of God.

  • Specifically focus on tools, opportunities, and models for multiplication, evangelism, growth in the spiritual disciplines (Bible study, prayer, generosity, etc.), and disciple making.

  • Partner with the Equipping Team & Campus Pastors in the linking groups to deeper rhythm opportunities for members of TSC both centrally and on the campus level (ex. Equipping Classes, etc).
