Upper School Science Instructor

Bayside Academy is seeking to add a Science Teacher to the Upper School team for the 2024-2025 school year. Interested applicants should have a strong background in the physical sciences with the ability to teach Physics and Chemistry to 10th through 12th grade students. The Chemistry course will be taught at the College Preparatory level, while the Physics course will be a project-based learning environment utilizing a concept-centered and algebraic-based curriculum. Successful candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm for working with adolescents both inside and outside the classroom, a solid content knowledge, and the desire for continued professional growth and innovative teaching. Strong communication skills are also required, as frequent parent communication is expected.

Qualifications must include a minimum of a bachelors degree in science, education, or a related field. Previous teaching experience is preferred, but candidates who are well-qualified in other areas will also be considered.
