Private Credit Loan Specialist


Pathway Capital Management, LP, a leading institutional investment management firm that creates and manages specialized private market solutions for institutional investors worldwide, is seeking a part-time Private Credit Accountant. The Private Credit Accountant is primarily responsible for working on cash flow reconciliation and preparing quarterly and annual loan reports for Pathway’s portfolio of direct credit investments. The Private Credit Accountant is a member of the Valuation Team as well as the broader Co-investment Team.

The Private Credit Accountant will be responsible for the following:

  • Reconcile quarterly cash flows for loan activity between proprietary portfolio management system and loan administrator records
  • Coordinate with fund accounting and loan administrator to resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare quarterly loan activity reports for Management approval
  • Enter quarterly loan activity into proprietary portfolio management system
  • Review credit agreements and other legal documents for key terms and definitions
  • Assist in preparing quarterly credit valuation analysis and other valuation reports 
  • Assist in procedure documentation and process improvement initiatives

Position requirements include:

A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, accounting, or a related field with a record of high academic achievement

  • Between 1-3 years of experience in booking keeping, accounting, or financial statement audits
  • Strong communication and writing skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • An entrepreneurial mindset that uses critical thinking to proactively enhance the loan administration function
  • Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented skills
  • An interest in investments and capital markets
  • Proficiency in excel 

Additional considerations:

  • CPA preferred but not required
