ENTITIES: Mount Olivet Cemetery Association Archdiocese of Denver Mortuary at Mount Olivet, Inc. St. Simeon Cemetery Association ENTITY: Mt. Olivet Cemetery was consecrated in 1892 and is located on the western side of the Denver Metro area in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. It is the largest cemetery in Colorado containing 392 acres. St. Simeon Cemetery was consecrated in 2004 and is located on the eastern side of the Denver Metro area in Aurora, Colorado. The Mortuary has two locations. The first is located on the grounds of Mt. Olivet Cemetery and was opened in 1981. The second was the recent acquisition of Caldwell-Kirk Mortuary. These entities serve the Catholic Community of the Denver metro area and its various parishes, missions, and apostolates and other members of public regardless of their religious affiliation.

THE POSITION: The seasonal groundskeeper works with the Superintendents to efficiently manage the grounds services provided during the spring through fall seasons as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
,~ Landscaping of the grounds including but not limited to, sodding, watering, trimming, weeding, and pruning,

~ Ditch and grounds cleaning,

~ Supervised monument installation as requested,
~ Observe safety rules and ensure compliance with the operating procedures of corporate, federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA regulations,
~ Work order completion, ~ Snow removal and the removal of ice from the grounds as needed,
~ Identify equipment needs for each assigned project and operate maintenance equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, front loaders, and power tools such as mowers, edgers, and blowers; maintain hand tools and assigned equipment; repair equipment as necessary,
~ Help identify grounds and visitor needs and concerns and notify a supervisor,
~ Be able to collaborate with the 3rd party landscaping company designated onsite,

~ Ability to recognize sensitive information and adhere to strict confidentiality

~ Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: ~ Valid driver license preferred.

 Some of the positions covered by this description require the employee to drive company vehicle(s) within the course of their employment. If the specific position requires driving, the employee must have a valid unrestricted Colorado drivers license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ~ Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is constantly required (i.e., more than 75% of time on the job). Physical workplace and/or exertion require somewhat rapid movement and/or effort and bring on a moderate amount of physical fatigue,

. ~ Requires lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects weighing more than 50 lbs. without the assistance of mobile, powered equipment or co-workers, 
   Involves intermediate periods of non-interrupted mental/sensory concentration (i.e., usually more than one (1) hour at a time, occasionally for several hours,
~ Some of these duties may involve work done on weekends, evening, nighttime, and holidays,
~ Requires working outdoors, in all weather conditions,
~ Loud noise from equipment/machine is at a level where ear protection is required,   ~ Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dust, pollen, odors, temperature, weather, and noise extremes, hazardous materials, confined spaces, machinery, vibrations, high voltage electric currents, traffic hazards, toxic agents, water hazards, disease, or pathogenic substances.
