Summary

SUMMARY 

AVIVO Chemical and Mental Health Division provides a continuum of integrated services, including access, clinical treatment, care coordination and recovery support.  We provide services that are innovative, person centered, strength based, and outcome driven.  We strive for the highest quality of services using culturally responsive and evidence based practices in a trauma informed environment. The Manager leads one or more programs within a service area. The Manager, in collaboration with their supervisor,  will be responsible for ensuring coordination and compliance with funding sources, licensing authorities, and key stakeholders; providing effective supervision and staffing; monitoring for program quality; implementation of new programs; facilitating coordination of care with division continuum of services; ensuring financial sustainability of programs; and ensuring culturally responsive direct services to individuals/families in the program. This position will provide direct care within the program, including crisis intervention. The Manager may assume duties of direct service staff.   

 

The manager will be responsible for supervising mental health case managers providing Rule 79 Adult Mental Health Targeted Case Management, this will include hiring, training, supervising, providing clinical supervision and ensuring compliance with our contract as well as court expectations. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Supervision and Leadership  

  • Regular group supervision- minimum 1 time per month.  Regular individual supervision – minimum 1 time per month per supervisee. Supervision schedule must be approved by supervisor.  Ensure consultation and supervision is available and provided on a regular basis. 

  • Participate in the development of program budgets. Monitor program budgets and project any changes during the course of the year.   

  • Performance management in collaboration with supervisor.   

  • Monitor documentation of all supervisees for accuracy and timeliness, and report status to supervisor monthly.  

  • Attendance at Leadership Circle, service area team meetings, and other key meetings as required 

  • Address urgent client situations 

  • Shadow staff to provide support and ensure job duties are being completed appropriately and professionally 

  • Ensure each team member is appropriately trained through onboarding and ongoing training to effectively perform job scope and duties. 

  • Maintain outcome-based statistics, demographics, reporting per funder and AVIVO requirements 

  • Ensure coverage plan for at all times to ensure mission of each programs is being met. 

  • Program development and ensuring best practices  

  • Develop formal program policies and procedures in collaboration team and approval by division leadership.  

Education & Experience

Required  

  • Education:  Master’s Degree in the Mental Health Field and Independent Licensure within the state of Minnesota. 
  • Experience: Experience with delivery of services to adults with chemical dependency highly desirable. Experience working with a caseload is preferred. Knowledge of, or experience with providing Rule 79 Targeted Adult Mental Health Case Management as well as billing for services. 
  • Licensure:  Licensed as a mental health professional.  Supervisory experience: Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting. This may include team lead experience, supervision of interns/volunteers, project lead, etc.  
  • Work experience: Minimum of 2 years work experience in a behavioral health setting.   
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours in order to meet the needs of the participants. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of the recovery philosophy and recovery oriented behavioral health services, or willingness to learn recovery principles. 
  • Experience with and/or commitment to working in a diverse, continuum of services in a fast-paced, growing organization. 
  • Experience with and/or a demonstrated commitment to developing and delivering culturally responsive services.
