Description

The Contract Specialist is responsible for the execution of assigned contracts, assuring contract compliance throughout the term of the contract.

This position is predominantly remote with partial onsite as needed.

Essential Job Functions

  • Draft and amend assigned contracts to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor, review, track, and ensure contract deliverables and performance measures are achieved according to contractual requirements.
  • Provide internal and external technical assistance related to the contracts.
  • Process budget amendments in contract and finance systems (CAFÉ & BATS) as needed.
  • Obtain, review, and monitor provider insurance certificates, licenses, and accreditations.
  • Monitor Data vs. Billing Report to ensure provider data correlates with billed services, communicate information to providers, and lead meetings on an as needed basis.
  • Contribute to the contract training manual and training materials to improve departmental processes.
  • Organize and host provider orientations and trainings to review contract requirements and technical navigation through system portals.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to respond to inquiries related to both CFBHN’s master contract and provider contracts.
  • Provide contract updates to stakeholders on Regional Council calls and Quality Improvement meetings.
  • Run reports to balance funding in finance systems and update post-award notices and match requirements.
  • Issue, monitor and track status of Performance Improvement Plans and Corrective Action Plans to providers who are out of compliance.

 

 

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or a minimum of two years experience managing contracts, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in not-for-profit behavioral health environment a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Position Specific

  • Good skills in contract/subcontract management
  • Understanding of funder and subcontractor services, client data and billing processes
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations
  • Representing CFBHN in the community

General

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite as applicable to the position
  • Ability to travel as required by the position
