Description

The position of Business Intelligence Analyst for the Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE) is one of moderate-high responsibility. The Business Intelligence Analyst works under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer, the incumbent is responsible for working to determine and document reporting and analytic requirements, create mock-ups, and develop reports, dashboards and analytics that help drive company objectives. The Business Intelligence Analyst must be familiar with company endorsed software in its day-to-day operations. She/he will perform ongoing assessment of analytics tools and dashboards relative to their usability, efficacy, and adoption with their respective audiences.

The candidate must have strong analytical skills and can independently identify areas for performance improvement opportunities. She/he will build strong relationships within the business and support functions to understand the business needs and provide guidance and suggestions in the creation of reporting and analytical solutions. The Business Intelligence Analyst will work to help the Leadership team to understand the data and give it context, helping to influence decision making. Continuing education and obtaining certifications is important for success as a Business Intelligence Analyst.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will act as a liaison between clinical, non-clinical, and Leadership personnel within CORE to ensure the optimization of computer software and integration with other systems.

Qualifications

The incumbent for the position of Business Intelligence Analyst should have, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.  Post high school education is highly desirable. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.  Computer skills must include Microsoft Office products including advanced knowledge of Excel including formulas, data pivoting, data transforming, conditional formatting, charting, VBA, macros, etc. Additionally, proficiency in Power BI, SQL, SSRS, database management, and electronic medical records is preferred.  They must have a good grasp of the English language and must have excellent grammar skills.   They must have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. They must have excellent customer service skills.
