  • Provide leadership for the Slot Technician Department, ensuring that employees are empowered and accountable by serving as a “coach” to assist employee in reaching personal development and department objectives.
  • Plan, control, evaluate and improve all aspects of Slot Technician Department operations.
  • Assure compliance with tribal MICS, state and NIGC regulations applicable to slot gaming.
  • Determine manpower needs and establish shift schedules.
  • Assume responsibility for all daily and department decisions.
  • Keep up-to-date on developments in the slot gaming industry.
  • Supervise, directly or indirectly, all Slot Tech Employees, including selection, training, work direction, safety, communication, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluation, pay administration and support documentation and records.
  • Recommend changes to the General Manager to maximize profitable revenue.
  • Conduct monthly department meetings as necessary.     
  • Serve as a role model for others.
  • Support, direct and train employees for highest level of customer service.
  • Establish and administer department training programs.
  • Assume full responsibility for protection and utilization of physical assets.
  • Create and propose annual department budget and capital requests.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


  • 4-year degree in electronics preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in slots required.
  • Experience with mechanical and electromechanical systems required.
  • PC, network, analog and digital communications experience preferred.
  • Experience training adults in a technical environment preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of networking, computer systems and Oasis system.
  • Thorough knowledge of installation, programming and maintenance on the following manufacturers’ games: IGT, Bally, WMS, Aristocrat, Konami and Scientific Gaming.
  • Knowledge of both new and older style games, as well as participation games.
  • Able to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Able to effectively handle difficult situations.
  • Able to function well in a stressful environment.


  • Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
  • Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.


  • Mobility throughout the facility.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Able to bend and twist on a frequent basis.
