PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Directly responsible for the management and/or supervision of the Parts Department in its entirety as it relates to the goals of your perspective branch and Branch Manager.
PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT
- Working with recruitment and HR to maintain staff levels that appropriately support customer demand.
- Working directly with personnel to ensure proper job function performance.
- Maintaining continuous personnel improvement processes that include cross training and management support.
- Communicating effectively with personnel to promote growth and high morale.
- Working with other department managers to encourage cross departmental workflow.
DEPARTMENTAL PROCESS AND PROCEDURE
- Maintaining and managing inventory levels that both enhance customer service and maintain corporate goals.
- Ensuring established policies and procedures are being followed and performed accordingly.
- Assisting with policy and procedure enhancements to encourage an environment that promotes an ease of business.
- Hold weekly departmental meetings to address comments, questions and/or concerns as it relates to productivity of the department.
BUSINESS GROWTH
- Regularly schedule time to spend in the market managing, maintaining and increasing customer relationships.
- Regularly review the Monthly Operating Statement (M.O.S.) to measure:
- Departmental financial state (forecast vs. current)
- Areas for improvement
- Staffing levels
- Evaluating the market to determine appropriate means for gaining market share.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Complete and maintain all factory certifications within 180 days of original date of hire
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Previous parts experience (management preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proactive thinking
