The Chemical Health Professional, is responsible for counseling and case management services to women who are participating in chemical health treatment, family treatment, and recovery maintenance/continuing care. 

Avivo's Chemical & Mental Health Services division provides integrated services in the areas of substance use disorder treatment and community-based chemical and mental health.  We strive for the highest quality of services using culturally responsive and evidence-based practices in a trauma-informed environment. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide treatment and support for pregnant and parenting women.
• Support women in their reunification process while in recovery.
• Coordinate, refer, connect clients with employment services, health care, recovery support, peer mentor program, and many other community partners.
• Facilitate educational and process groups while working with a dedicated team that has the same focus.
• Meet with clients in the treatment location.

• Bachelor’s degree 
• Licensed as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)
• 6 months to 1 year experience in a behavior health setting
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

PREFERRED:

• Master’s degree
• Experience with an electronic medical record
• Experience with and/or a demonstrated commitment to developing and delivering culturally responsive services
