Overview

The primary responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator will be to work closely with the Director of Marketing/Marketing Managers and other department managers to increase awareness, utilization and associated revenues of the Utah Olympic Legacy venues and programs.

This individual will have the following areas of focus: 1) Effectively coordinate and implement email marketing strategy for all UOLF venues; 2) Manage communication and content on all UOLF websites; and 3) Oversee online sales and sport registration communication 4) Contribute to overall marketing plan to further the interests and growth of the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation and its venues.

Objectives of this Role

Email Marketing

  • Coordinate and implement email marketing strategy for UOLF venues

  • Create content for weekly & monthly, promotional, and automated communication

  • Manage various audiences and online email sign-ups

Website

  • Administer website content including events, public products, website features

  • Coordinate product builds with POS manager and respective guest services departments

  • Coordinate sport registration content reviews and corresponding sport communication on the website

  • Oversee website content for all microsites associated with the foundation

POS Sale Discounts and Promotions

  • Create and track promotions through point-of-sale system

  • Online promotional code development and tracking

  • Work with Guest Services departments to implement all active promotions

  • Manage seasonal voucher process and tracking

Other

  • Assist with social media and other forms of content creation to be used over multiple channels

  • Contribute to community engagement event facilitation, marketing and communications at all three venues

  • Assist with sport event facilitation, marketing and communications at all three venues

  • Assist in community outreach

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or other closely related field or a combination of education and relevant experience totaling seven years

  • Three to five years directly related work experience

  • Experience with MS Office, WordPress, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or similar platforms

  • Flexible work schedule must be available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Environmental Job Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in all temperature/weather extremes

  • Must be able to stand on feet for extended time, as well as, able to lift 20 pounds.

  • Balancing, bending, climbing, kneeling, walking, pushing, reaching above shoulders, and sitting.

The Utah Athletic Foundation (dba Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization formed after the successful hosting of the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Its unique purpose centers on fostering growth of winter sport in the State of Utah and to effectively manage the Utah Olympic Park, Utah Olympic Oval, and Soldier Hollow venues.
