Position Description:

Our Project Managers provide comprehensive leadership and management oversight on multiple medium and large-scale public works projects, including executing projects from Predesign through Project Closeout, consultant coordination, client, agency, and technical reviews. They will work directly with the Principal-in-Charge on all aspects of the project, including business development, contract negotiations, and client relations. They also take primary responsibility for management of the project’s budget, and schedule, and work plan.

As a Project Manager, you will be an integral, full-time team member in our Architectural group as you:

  • Shepherd a project team through concept design, construction documentation and construction coordination,
  • Hold a strong conceptual design sensibility whilst directing junior team members through the phases of design and documentation,
  • Work directly with clients and stakeholder groups to successfully deliver the project
  • Prepare clear and organized design presentations,
  • And deliver work class projects within budget and programs to grateful clients.

A successful candidate is highly communicative, possesses the ability to motivate others to reach finite milestones, and is capable of being a knowledge expert for project teams.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in architecture
  • Architectural License 
  • 8 years experience minimum in professional practice
  • Experience working with public clients and stakeholders
  • Experience coordinating projects with vendors and consultants
  • Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and graphic skills
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills

 

Position Preferences:

  • Public Sector work experience, especially Higher Education, K-12 education, Libraries, and civic work.
  • Familiar with Architectural software programs: Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign), MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

 

Salary Range:

This position offers $82,000 - $101,000 per year with a midpoint at $92,000.  New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience and market.
