Physical Requirements:
- Required to sit, talk, hear and visually intercept visitors.
- Both close and distance vision is required
- Works in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts
- Be able to occasionally lift to 30 lbs.
- Work in a traditional climate-controlled CLASSROOM environment
- Work primarily in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat
- Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20 to 50 pounds
Minimum Job Qualifications
A. High School Diploma or GED equivalent
B. Working knowledge and enjoyment of concentration for which you are applying
C. Previous experience working with elementary-age children
D. Previous Summer Program/Camp experience
E. Demonstrate leadership qualities and sound judgment
F. Availability to work for eight weeks plus pre-planning
G. Enthusiastic, mature, and flexible
H. Desire to work with children in a day camp setting
I. CPR/FA/AED Child/Adult Certification
Preferred Job Qualifications:
A. College Degree or higher
B. 2 or more years working experience in a camp setting
C. Working knowledge and enjoyment of concentration for which you are applying
D. Lifeguarding certification
E. Professional teaching experience
