Summary of Position

The Womens Discipleship Director is responsible for overseeing and executing campus based discipleship initiatives among women at the Apex Campus of The Summit Church.

  • Proven love and care for people and the gospel
  • A commitment to servant leadership and dependance on God.
  • Teachable and eager to learn
  • Self starter, works well in team context, and is organized/proficient in administration
  • Commitment to the local church as the sending agent for the mission of God
  • Ability to recruit and lead volunteer teams
  • Ability to coach and develop leaders
  • Ability to mobilize others
  • A member of The Summit Church or is able and willing to become a member

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Meets with campus pastor or supervisor once a month to think proactively and plan for future womens initiatives.
  • Attends monthly Womens Discipleship Coordinator meetings or sends someone from campus wd leadership team in her absence.
  • Meets with Womens Discipleship Director once a month
  • Oversees the execution, content, and follow up of campus based gatherings under the direction of campus pastor and elders.
  • Final decision maker under supervisor for discipleship content, strategy, and events.
  • Helps ensure women are thought for and valued in all campus planning, strategy, and scheduling.
  • Serves as a gatekeeper for ideas on womens initiatives that other women bring forward and discusses each with the campus pastor to determine where the idea falls in Own, Catalyze, Bless, Stop matrix.
  • Leads a team of volunteers and trains 3-4 leaders with the end goal of multiplication.
  • Meets with the campus wd leadership team at least every other month and connects with the team via email or phone at least twice a month.
  • Creates, trains, develops, and multiples volunteer leadership team
  • Attends weekly campus staff meetings
  • Attends All-Staff meetings
  • Serves alongside campus staff team in campus initiatives.
  • Serves in a visible role during weekend services to make women aware of her leadership position and contributes and participates in all campus events such as campus prayer, worship, and member night.
  • Oversight of budget
  • Fulfills any tasks as assigned by the supervisor
