SUMMARY

The operations coordinator will ensure that daily activities are meeting or exceeding our company's mission and customer expectations. You will monitor the use of resources, identify problems, and recommend solutions. A model candidate will have great people skills and excellent problem-solving skills. Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers through the move process. Processes booked relocations and maintains contact with customer service, agents, dispatch and salespeople.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicates with Drivers and Customer Service, advise of changes, delays, etc. in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepares and forwards documents for shipment processing on each order.
  • Prepares reports for management review.
  • Prepares and maintains customers inventory reports in our system and sometimes the customers system as well.
  • Tracks the status of each customers shipment when applicable.
  • Communicates with salesperson, project manager, and dispatch, regarding problems and concerns with shipments.
  • Effectively uses both local and corporate computer systems (i.e., windfall, MoversSuite, CCS, AS400) in the processing of each relocation.
  • Attending and participating in regular meetings.
  • Prepares paperwork for dispatch and crews.
  • Assist with the dispatch counter
  • Assisting Safety manager with paperwork and reports as needed.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office word processing software, as well as Cisco phone systems. MoversSuite knowledge is preferred, but not required.
