Mayo Aviation is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician II based at Centennial Airport in the beautiful Denver metropolitan area. The Mayo maintenance team is a group of wildly talented professionals that has a cohesive, fun and supportive culture.

A Maintenance Technician II maintains the airframe and engines of aircraft to meet FAA standards. This job involves tasks such as performing routine checks and repairs, inspections, and identifying faults with components of the plane

What we will expect from you:

  • Inspect and examine aircraft components, including de-icing systems, hydraulic systems, and landing gear, for leaks, cracks, breaks or other issues.
  • Read and utilize blueprints, maintenance manuals, ATA codes, illustrated parts catalogs, service bulletins and other maintenance documents to troubleshoot and complete work assignments.
  • Perform routine maintenance operations, such as the replacement of power plant and aircraft components.
  • Complete all tasks in the allotted time frame and to the quality standards of our company, our customers, and the FAA.
  • Promote safety within the workplace by monitoring others and yourself to guarantee all tasks are performed within the safety manual guidelines and communicate with other mechanics and supervisors to coordinate repairs and keep apprised of safety concerns.
  • Order supplies, equipment, materials and parts for repairs and general maintenance
  • Keep detailed records of the inspections performed, repairs finished, maintenance procedures and ordered parts.
  • Cooperates with the Safety Management System and be instrumental with corrective action plans and preventative measures.
  • Performs line service functions as required.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 Years aviation experience maintaining commercial or general aviation aircraft.
  • Experience in aircraft structural repair, fabrication, and modification is preferred.
  • King Air and Corporate Jet experience required.
  • Must be able to pass all requirements to obtain a Level II inspection authorization.
  • Fluent in English
  • Basic industry computer skills required.


Education or Formal Training:

  •  FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate is required
  • IA is preferred.
  • Factory aircraft training preferred.


Knowledge and Other Requirements:

  • CAMP/CMP tracking software experience preferred.
  • Basic personal hand tools required.
  • Comfortable using mathematics to solve practical problems


Working Environment/Physical Activities:

  • Must be able to work in and around an aviation hangar, and have knowledge of airport rules, including ramp and aircraft movement areas.
  • Working environment includes area of moving mechanical parts, equipment, and various chemicals and fumes.
  • Occasional to frequent periods of lifting, pushing, or pulling over 25 to 100 pounds; frequent continuous standing, reaching, and stooping.
  • Physical activity may require entering confined spaces.
  • Irregular hours, holiday, and on-call shifts required.
