SUMMARY: Logan University is seeking dynamic individuals dedicated to academic and clinical excellence for a full-time faculty position in the College of Chiropractic. Faculty members facilitate student learning by designing, developing and delivering highly engaging content. Faculty members participate in course and program review and improvement and shared governance of the university.



  1. Design, develop and deliver engaging, contemporary content while applying best practices in teaching and learning.
  2. Develop and utilize learning assessments consistent with best practices.
  3. Evaluate and utilize course learning outcome data to improve teaching and learning.
  4. Provide students with formative and summative feedback related to course learning objectives.
  5. Abide privacy, confidentiality and security measures including those associated with FERPA and HIPAA.
  6. Serve on committees, task forces and other functional teams as assigned.
  7. Participate in classroom and practical instruction as scheduled.
  8. Support student engagement and success by holding office hours.
  9. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and college/university events and ceremonies.
  10. Demonstrate compassion and professional behaviors that promote academic excellence and student success.
  11. Support the Mission, Vision and Values of Logan University
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidates must have a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited program and a minimum of three years of teaching and/or clinical practice experience. Advanced training, experience and/or credentials applicable to teaching or clinical practice is preferred. 


Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have functional knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, learning management systems, assessment technology, and electronic health records.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Candidates must have or be eligible to obtain a current, unrestricted license in good standing to practice chiropractic in the state of Missouri.


Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to demonstrate all skills related to the successful practice of chiropractic.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk to and understand students, co-workers, and/or patients.  The employee may be frequently required to sit when doing paperwork or using a computer, and must frequently stand, bend, walk and use their hands and fingers in the performance or demonstration of various chiropractic techniques and other job duties.  The employee must occasionally lift objects weighing up to 35 pounds and assist in the movement of patients weighing over 200 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in order to read and produce printed and electronic documents. Overall, the physical requirements are consistent with those of a teacher and practicing chiropractor.
