General Summary

The Quality Control Technician checks and inspects in-coming materials, in-process and finished products, ensuring conformance to company quality standards and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

Performs inspection on purchased parts, in-process, and finished materials and products. Ensures conformance to specifications.

Test finished products for paint quality and thickness, welding quality, dimensions, fit, and appearance, route products as needed for re-work.

Work with purchasing and manufacturing departments to determine if defective parts are to be replaced or re-worked.

Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports and DMR processing.

Monitors inspection queue for prompt inspection.

Performs other tasks as required. Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to the duties listed on this job description.

High School diploma or equivalent.

3-5 yrs. experience in a quality position.

Knowledge of general hand tool use.

Skilled in the reading and interpreting of blueprints.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Familiarity and ability to read measuring devices, such as: tape measure, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc., both in English and Metric.

Ability to perform work while standing or stooping for long periods of time, and to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.

Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.

Computer experience including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

ERP knowledge, Epicor a plus.

This is a first shift position, Monday Friday, overtime on Saturdays as needed.
