The Independent Contracted Therapist is an excellent opportunity for clinician's who are able to practice independently as LPC's, LCSW's or other independently licensed mental health professionals. This contracted clinician role provides outpatient mental health counseling and treatment services virtually through our telehealth platform. Contractors endeavor to a) Promote mental health, resiliency, and wellness for individuals receiving addictions and mental health services and supports; b) Have the highest levels of cultural competence, lived experience and are culturally connected with their communities of service; and c) are trauma and wellness informed, understand the impacts of racialized and complex trauma.
Independent Contracted Therapists engage and respond through therapeutic interventions, facilitate access for mental health treatment, consistently making use of informed consent, advocacy, and integrated care; assist with access to community resources, facilitate development and retention of natural, community, and culturally bound supports; provide appropriate individual, group, community-based, and culturally relevant psycho-education; actively work to reduce stigma, barriers, and create opportunities for each client's success.
Independent Contracted Therapists accomplish these responsibilities through assessment, treatment services, brief counseling and consultation, or longer-term therapies through measurable outcomes in collaboration with clients and their natural supports when appropriate. Some of the interventions may include comprehensive assessment; collaboratively developed Individual Service and Support Plan; individual and group therapy and skills training and development, referrals, consultation, coordination and collaboration with community partners and providers; Discharge Summary and continuity of care through transfer and referral. Independent Contracted Therapists endeavor to support and promote positive outcomes through use of Evidenced-Based, Best Practices that are culturally specific whenever possible.
Education and Experience Required: Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Independent practitioner in Psychology, plus experience in a Virtual/Telehealth is preferred. Licensed Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage or Family Counseling preferred.
