We are currently searching for a National Accounts Manager – MidWest/West Market to join our team.



The National Accounts Manager will be responsible for maintaining and actively building the corporate and association segments located in the MidWest & West (300-1,499 peak). These meetings should target the Pennsylvania Convention Center, single hotels and/or multiple-hotel business. Evaluation of your yearly room night goal will be evaluated with routine funnel meetings weekly/biweekly.


This position will work remotely from a home office.



  • Exhibit strong connection and/or passion for Philadelphia in order to convincingly and effectively sell this remarkable east coast destination. 
  • Demonstrated experience in the entire sales process which encompasses generating leads to contract signature.
  • Strong knowledge of the competitive landscape primarily on the east coast and competing markets.
  • Develop a full understanding of the sales strategies, operations and goals of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
  • Develop new business and increased business from existing accounts using effective direct sales activities targeting the specific market segment.
  • Supervise the support staff within that specific market segment.
  • Be active in the market, with planned events that take you into your territory as needed throughout the year.  This could include tradeshows, sales calls, customer events, or coordinating a sales mission on behalf of the PHLCVB.
  • Be active in the Industry Organizations in your market, from professional membership to attending events to Committee/Board participation.
  • Participate in a comprehensive marketing and sales plan for the PHLCVB and responds to the PHLCVB’s room night goals including: competitive analysis, market segment analysis, positioning strategies and direct sales action steps.
  • Continuously monitor the progress towards achieving the room night objective of the marketing plan and make adjustments and changes as market trends dictate.
  • Make recommendations for special promotions, incentives, and sales programs within agreed upon market segments.
  • Maintain contact with related supplier organizations such as partner hotels, national sales offices, and the local community to effectively utilize all resources in the direct sales discipline.
  • Develop and maintain active relationships with industry partners.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends on occasion.
  • Frequent travel required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Bachelor’s degree (B.A) in related field from a four-year college or university preferred plus five or more years work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 


Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Philadelphia and the entire hospitality community.
  • Experience/client relationships in the MidWest/West preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, iDSS, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive).
  • Ability to analyze problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
