POSITION: LRCHC On-Call Medical Receptionist
SALARY: $16.48 per hour
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
LOCATION: Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers (Inchelium/Keller)
Basic Functions:

An On-Call Medical Receptionist will be trained and called-in for added coverage as-needed. The ideal candidate will meet, greet, and assist patients in preparing for their office visits. Collects patient information, demographic, medical records, and insurance information. Assures accuracy of patient information in Practice Management system. Helps patients in gaining information about health center services, providers, referrals, and ancillary services. Collects co-payment and other patient payments. Answers incoming calls and will either assist or transfer to the proper personnel. Directs patients to appropriate areas for treatment and escorts as necessary around health center facilities. Works as a team member with clinical and non-clinical staff. Professional conduct, ethics, and confidentiality are expected at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 1 year customer service (required); 3 years customer service (preferred)
- Working knowledge of RPMS IHS software (preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills, self-starter, able to multitask and is detail-oriented
- Experience using office telephone, copier/scanner, and fax machines (required)
- Ability to use Microsoft computer applications (required)
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate cultural sensitivity
- Must pass background check
Physical Abilities:
Sitting, weightlifting up to 50 pounds, bending/stooping, crouching, twisting, reaching, operation of equipment tools, foot controls, etc. Requires sufficient hand-eye-arm coordination utilized to operate a variety of general office equipment. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers. Requires auditory ability to carry on conversations over the phone and in person.
Licenses and Certificates:
Requires a valid Washington State Driver’s license and must be eligible for the Tribes vehicle insurance and maintain throughout employment. CPR/First Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens training required annually. HIPAA and Privacy Act training and certificates required annually.

Work is performed indoors.

A background clearance may be required. Tribal member and Indian preference will apply. Preference will be giving to honorably discharged veterans who are minimally qualified. Documented Covid-19 vaccination is required. Professional conduct, ethic, and confidentiality are expected always.
