Crisis Line Volunteer Description

Since 1961, The Association for Individual Development (AID) has served individuals with developmental, intellectual, physical and/or mental health challenges, those who have suffered a trauma, and those at risk. As a non-profit organization, our mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, and mental health challenges to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose.

Please note:  Applicants interested in volunteering for our crisis line or Sunshine program should first contact our AID Volunteer Coordinator, Maureen Spradlin, at mspradlin@aidcares.org.

Volunteers help AID to continue to offer the meaningful and important services that we provide. Consider volunteering your time in our crisis line and/or Sunshine programs where you will work with a team of service providers within the agency and throughout the social services community to insure that all client needs are met by providing telephone support, linking to community resources, and assisting with the well-being checks to crisis line callers and agency clients.
