The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for producing business intelligence and exception reporting solutions as well as assist in data cleansing, integration and migration projects. This position will have the opportunity to research, develop and deliver innovative solutions to complex business issues. It requires a thorough, detail oriented and highly motivated team player with a positive attitude to serve as a liaison and enhance communication between IT and business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Translate business needs to technical specifications
• Serve as liaison between Information Technology and business units for the purpose of eliciting, documenting, validating, socializing, and modeling requirements and business processes.
• Work with business units to identify strategic and tactical improvements and/or opportunities and work with IT management to assist in the prioritization of those needs.
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
• Develop and update technical documentation
• Supports the Director of Software Development with various projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems; any combination of experience and education equivalent
• Experience using development, change management/deployment, network, environmental, and system monitoring tools
• Proven experience in the ability to creatively solve business problems using information systems
• Ability to learn new concepts and teach oneself quickly

Required Skills:

• Experience with BI tools, preferably Microsoft Power BI
• SQL Query skills including stored procedures, views and functions
• Advanced analytical and organization skills
• Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services development
• Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services development
• Understanding and experience with Software Debugging and integration techniques

 Desired Skills:

• Azure DevOps (formerly Visual Studio Team Services)
• Experience working with git repositories
• MySQL 6+
• C# 5+
• Experience in an Agile Scrum work environment
