This position is for a Summer Instructor/Teacher in one of our Chadwick Summer Programs.

 

Arts Unlimited, Camp, Hilltop Sports, Minis, Prep, Prep+

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Responsible for providing high quality teaching and instruction to participating students in the Chadwick Summer Program.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Work Saturday, June 15, 2024, through Friday, July 19, 2024 - Program not in session on the following holidays - June 19, 2024, and July 4, 2024.
  • Attend a staff “onboarding” session the week beginning Monday, June 10th (on-boarding sessions are 2 hours in length)
  • Attend a mandatory staff training day on Saturday, June 15th from 9:00am – 3:00pm
  • Plan interesting and exciting activities that are sequential and have set outcomes that are achievable for all students during the length of the Summer Program.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Summer Program, including Counselors.
  • Must maintain safe work practices and follow all safety and security procedures.
  • Must enjoy working with children aged 4 – 14.
  • Attend after hours events, shows and performances, as required and determined by the class taught.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education, experience and skill requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor degree strongly preferred.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to work early morning or late afternoon a plus.
  • Individuals with previous applicable experience is preferred.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • The ability to work with children is essential.
  • The ability to legally work in US is required.

Compensation based on experience and highest degree earned.  College degree starts at $34

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Walking and being outdoors for somewhat extended periods of time on a regular basis is part of the job as the school sits on 45 acres of land
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and an ability to adjust focus.
  • Will use telephone, computer, copier, and other office equipment in the course of a day.
