Position Profile

Service leads the customer experience, and delivering an exceptional experience requires a unified front across the entire company.The Logistics Analyst will oversee the traceable movement of inbound and outbound material flow. The Logistics Analyst overseestransportation suppliers, processes and freight costs, and drive procedures, processes, and projects that maintain a balanced materialflow in support of BEGA North Americas overall strategy.

Reporting Relationships

  • This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager
  • No direct reports

 

 

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5 7 years experience in Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented with the ability to align a series of tasks to goals and understand interdependencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization and with external suppliers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge/experience in:
    • Transportation/logistics regulations
    • Logistics analytics and cost reductions
    • Domestic and international transportation models, specifically for air cargo, ground, and ocean.
    • US Customs Import/Export Requirements/Criteria/Documentation/Tariffs
  • College degree or equivalent experience or ASCM/CPSM certification
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement process training and experience
  • Broad knowledge of ERP system functions
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, various shipping methods/terms such as Exworks, DAP, FOB, etc.
  • Knowledge in product packaging solutions for shipping is a plus
  • Strong Human Relation skills

 

 

 

What youll do

  • Analyzes, develops, and implements global transportation plans to maximize compliance with customer needs.
  • Creates and reviews procedures for transportation, identifies under performing areas in transportation and suggests improvements or resolutions to the challenges.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and define issues or barriers, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to generate solutions.
  • Evaluates and provides guidance to management for all transportation and freight costs, as well as appropriate routing and carriers to be used to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.
  • Ensures cost-effective, efficient, and traceable movement of company products both inbound/out-bound and domestic/international.
  • Evaluates the legality of current and proposed transportation processes/systems/ for import and export.
  • Analyzes fees associated with transportation costs both international and domestic and looks for areas of improvement and cost savings.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven with demonstrated ability to set goals and independently deliver results for the team in addition to collaborating across multiple groups and functions, focused on achieving objectives.
  • Operates as a team-oriented, collaborative partner who passionately advocates and articulates her/his opinion while maintaining flexibility to incorporate others point of views.
  • Provides metrics and KPI reporting to management and Supply Chain team.
  • Participates in identifying freight carriers for inter-company material transfer projects.
  • Actively participates and identifies continuous improvement projects.
  • Updates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Supply Chain and carriers when applicable.
  • Perform additional duties as requested
