Girl scout camp is where many campers find their strengths and challenge themselves as they navigate activities on the water, at the campsite, and along the trail. Girl Scouts River Valleys’ camp sessions allow campers to develop a strong sense of self and positive values, build healthy relationships, seek challenges, and have fun while making memories of a lifetime!
Our campers treasure the relationships and sense of community they develop with our camp staff. Likewise, working at one of River Valleys’ Girl Scout Camps is a unique experience that will have a positive impact on you for the rest of your life. Your passion can make a difference in the lives of girls!
Specialists are responsible for planning and leading lessons and activities in their specific activity area that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers’ ages and abilities. They also support counselors in their job duties, including substituting for them on their time off. In addition to having skills and knowledge in your specialty area, you must have the ability to learn new skills in many different areas and have a passion to work directly with campers.
Managers do the important behind-the-scenes work to keep camp running smoothly. These positions are generally based around an hourly schedule up to 40 hours/week; however, a weekly rate based on working 6 days per week may be considered for candidates who wish to live on-site for the summer.
