Staff Accountant - Headquarters

Job Summary

  • Record month-end general ledger entries, including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, depreciation and recurring accruals and allocations
  • Record month-end and year-end adjustment entries
  • Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis of financial statements
  • Prepare and analyze various account reconciliations, including, but not limited to inventory, fixed assets, account receivables, and other current assets
  • Prepare analysis reports for monthly AR Aged invoice, Cash Receipts, Cross aging, contra accounts, COD Accounts and Credit memo for borrowing base certificate purpose
  • Prepare accounting related policies for performance and management reporting
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with the periodic financial statement closing process
  • Assist with weekly/monthly cash reconciliations
  • Assist with cash flow analysis as needed
  • Assists the Controller with the preparation of tax and regulatory filings
  • Assist with training and development of staff accountants
  • Assist in reconciling all capital leases, Notes Payable and company wide liabilities and maintain all the proper documentations
  • Developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances
  • Assisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory
  • Verifying accurate standard costs
  • Monitoring inventory transactions
  • Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required
  • An understanding of GAAP in relation to inventory
  • Is flexible and able to work as part of a team
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • NetSuite experience (Recommended)
