This position is responsible and held accountable for the following duties:

  • Conducts Agency New Hire Orientation (NHO), as directed.
  • Provides any revisions to the NHO process as needed.
  • Assists in scheduling interviews and providing feedback to all applicants.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs for each position and meet competitive hiring goals and expectations.
  • Grow and foster high-touch relationships with a database of qualified active and passive talent to pull from as new positions open.
  • Develop effective recruiting plans and strategies
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job descriptions and job qualifications.
  • Review and clarify job qualifications, competencies and skills required.
  • Source applicants through various methods including advertising, recruiters, job sites, career fairs, and online platforms.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by reviewing applications and/or resumes, pre-screening job candidates, interviewing applicants, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Organize and execute college recruitment programs.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews cooperatively with hiring managers.
  • Inform candidates fully about the job and company.
  • Brief and debrief candidates before and after interviews.
  • Conduct background checks when needed.
  • Facilitate pre-employment testing when needed.
  • Manage all communication with candidates.
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to managers
  • Maintain an accurate and current applicant tracking database within the HRIS.
  • Extend offers of employment within company guidelines.
  • Manage the job offer including negotiation and administration.
  • Responds to staff questions related to general HR processes within scope of knowledge.
  • Assist in attending agency recruiting events and professionally presenting the agency and open positions to potential candidates.
  • Assist in maintaining personnel files and benefit files.
  • Analyze and report recruiting metrics (cost per hire, hiring turnaround, etc.) on an on-going basis with appropriate members of management.
  • Keep current with sourcing strategies and industry trends.
  • Ensure regulatory aspects of the full cycle recruitment process is compliant with federal and state legislation.
  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and perks.
  • Stays current on job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management as requested.
  • Must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position. 
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job requirement.
  • Must meet "satisfactory" expectations at any scheduled job performance evaluation.
  • Quality of work will be evaluated through training, skill, or special purpose.  Must be competent and adequate.


Must perform the specific job duties as listed above to meet position expectations.


High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other related field of study preferred.

2+ years of prior experience in recruitment or human resources and specifically knowledgeable in the areas of benefits administration and worker’s compensation claim management.
