Equinox is a studio that is developing an ambitious and disruptive collectible card game as part of an exciting human adventure. Founded by Régis Bonnessée, known for his involvement with the publishing house Libellud (Dixit, Mysterium, Seasons, etc.), and in partnership with Asmodee, Equinox is based in Paris, France.

We are currently working on our first major tabletop-exclusive card game project (similar to Magic: The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh), and this role will be at the forefront of leading and driving product success in North America. What You’ll Do 

As the Organized Play Manager for Equinox, you will act as the lead person in North America driving the success of this product. Based in Minneapolis, MN, you’ll be the first ever Equinox employee of our North America entity. You’ll work from the Asmodee location in Lino Lakes, MN side by side with their hobby sales team and will become the leading driver of our presence in this country. You’ll also be working directly with our Marketing team, based in Paris, France. 

 

  • Co-creation of the organized play offerings for the North America hobby market.  

  • Coordinate sourcing, production, and logistics of products to ensure on time product delivery.  

  • Create training and develop sales tools for the Asmodee sales team to maximize efficiency and product knowledge.  

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop engaging player programs. 

  • Develop a strong partnership and act as first point of contact with the Asmodee North America distribution team.  

  • Lead the development and execution of large-scale events and tournaments. 

  • Analyze performance metrics to evaluate and improve Organized Play initiatives.  

  • As part of a growing startup, you must be able to be flexible in various tasks, event management, public relations, etc.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the TCG game industry and/or Board game industry.

  • Proven experience in sales, supply chain, event planning, customer service, community management, or other related fields.

  • Experience in fostering a collaborative and others-oriented work environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to approach challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset, finding creative and effective solutions for complex problems.

  • Proven track record of delivering high quality work through careful attention to detail and thoroughness.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the TCG/CCG Organized Play industry and player community in the US market.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly autonomous environment, while also being proactive and self-motivated.
  • Must be flexible with scope of responsibilities as this role evolves from individual contributor to team leader.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to teach and educate others on products, and act as a knowledge expert.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to create and develop marketing messages.
  • Ability to speak French is a major plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a focus on positivity.
  • Embrace change and adapt to evolving situations.
